Saved Policies (27/09/2007) and Adopted Core Strategy DPD (9/12/2010)

Under the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, which brought in the system of Local Development Frameworks (LDF), the policies in the Adopted District Local Plan were saved for a transitional period of three years from the date of the commencement of Act. This period expired on the 27th September 2007. The Act does, however, allow the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government to extend the saving of policies beyond that date.

Following application, the District Council received a Direction from the Government Office for the West Midlands dated the 7th September 2007, setting out the policies which are ‘saved beyond’ the 27th September 2007.

Wyre Forest District Council adopted it’s Core Strategy Development Plan Document (DPD) on 9th December 2010. This has resulted in a number of the previously ‘saved’ Local Plan policies being replaced.

Within the contents and text of this online version of the Adopted Local Plan the policies that lapsed on 27/09/2007 are highlighted in grey and the policies that have been replaced by the Adopted Core Strategy DPD are highlighted in orange. These policies no longer form part of the Statutory Development Plan for the District
